Dear All
As an Ecuadorian who lived in the United States for 23 years from 1971 – 1993, I decided to make Quito my home in 1993, and since then, I made teaching English my profession and can honestly say it has been very gratifying .
Success in teaching can only be attributed to personal qualities which I feel a professional in this field must acquire through his own experience as well as the innate characteristics one should possess in order to project himself well.
The fact that I am a native American English speaker and that I can teach others about the American culture through the English language has always created interest in my students as well as with colleagues whom I have had the opportunity to work with throughout these years. |
As a professional in Education, in the last 20 years, I have had the opportunity to offer my services to many and few select organizations in Quito which I feel have given me the experience to project myself further in this field.
In the last 5 years, I have been helping Ecuadorian students expand their educational opportunities by preparing them for admission to all major universities in the U.S. and abroad. My gratification in teaching comes when students tell me how well they are doing with the tools I have given them in order to be able to communicate and interact in English, and now with the Toefl iBT, to be able to expand their horizons and help them continue their education abroad.
